It started with a café table.

Cold glasses, warm weather, and cork that needed time to dry. We wanted a coaster that could stay in service while its inserts took a break.

So we designed a top cork that lifts out when you need it to, solid ceramic in the middle, and a peel-and-stick cork base.

01 / THREE PIECES

An absorbent cork top to lift out, a rounded ceramic body to keep, and a moisture-resistant cork base underneath. Three pieces, each with a purpose.

Top cork
Absorbent cork, 5 mm thick, with a shaved edge and finger recess. Seated 2.5 mm below the rim.

Glazed ceramic
108 mm across, with a softly rounded rim and a flat, solid floor.

Peel-and-stick base
A different, moisture-resistant cork grade, 1.5 mm thick. Peel the backing and press the adhesive face into place.

Tide

A visualisation of our 108 × 14 mm prototype. The section reveal and compression illustrate the fit. Lift the top at its finger recess; replace the base with a fresh peel-and-stick sheet. Final fit and finishes will be confirmed with physical samples.

LIVING WITH CORK

Let it dry.
Keep a spare.

Read the care guide

Change the top.

Lift out a damp insert and put a dry one in its place. Both faces can air-dry away from the ceramic.

Wash the ceramic.

Lift out the top cork to wipe the glazed pocket clean. Keep the adhesive base in place during everyday care.

Keep the soft base.

A thin, moisture-resistant cork sheet cushions the flat underside. When it wears out, peel it off and stick on a fresh one.

Cork needs regular care. It is not antibacterial or mould-proof; replace inserts that remain musty or damaged.

Keep dry cork ready for the next glass.

Swap damp cork inserts for fully dry spares between services. Wipe the upper ceramic pocket and air-dry the top cork in a ventilated rack. Leave the adhesive base fitted.

Top-only packs: 24 for $30, 60 for $66, 120 for $120. For a starting three-set rotation, keep one top fitted, use the included spare top, and add one additional matching top pack. Adjust stock to your actual drying time and service volume.

Keep clean spares separate from used inserts. Replace musty or damaged cork. Follow your venue’s hygiene procedures; this routine is not a sanitising claim.
